The RV is still intact, so is our family, our sanity? Well, that’s another story perhaps.
We dropped off the blog/vlogosphere for a couple of months while we were figuring things out and didn’t have time to do things like edit videos. But we still took a whole bunch of videos and plenty of pictures and notes, so we’ll be catching up somewhat now. For safety/privacy reasons we will always be a little behind in posting “current content”.
Here is the thing. We were fairly confident in our ability to move out of our house and into an RV.
We were decently confident we could vlog and blog.
We were somewhat confident we would survive the RVing experience.
We were hopeful that we would be able to wrap up all the loose ends in Ottawa before leaving.
We were absolutely and irrefutably wrong about the fact that we could do all these things at once.
At the beginning of the summer, we took a trip to Cedar Cove resort on White Lake. You can watch that adventure in the vlog below.
For the most part, we had a great time, but between an infestation of caterpillars that gives us the creeps to this day, and the sleeping issues with the younger kids, we actually ended up rather discouraged.
Maybe living in 296 square feet with five kids under the age of seven might actually be a bad idea?
But here is the thing about us. We have a lot of pride. And we had made this website. And told all of our friends. And posted over-confident pictures…….
I believe in business this is called “sunk costs”. But what do we know about business?
Editor’s note: Probably nothing considering you got rid of your house and all your stuff and are living in an RV. This is called exiting the middle class in pursuit of homelessness and is generally seen as a step down in society.
So just one week later we packed up again for a trip…….a trip that would change the course of our summer……
Editor’s note: I don’t think you understand how to use ellipses properly….
